A few days ago, TPL announced he planned to organize a new competition: PSP Genesis Competition. Few details were available, we knew only that the organizers and sponsors wanted to do everything so that this contest marks the history of the PSP, which is far from dead in their view.
Today, the organizers will publish the contest rules, prize list, and give some clarification.
Participation should be a homebrew PSP. The developer is free to develop what they want (games, utilities, plugins, etc..), in the language he prefers (Lua, C, C, etc..).
The final version of the homebrew must be mailed before May 15, 2011. The developer can post his creation when he wishes, and update it until then.
The creations will be posted in this forum with the following information: name of the homebrew, nickname (s) the author (s), and the download link. A moderator will confirm if homebrew is accepted or not.
Teamwork is allowed, but only one receives the prize (it will redistribute within the group).
A single developer may work on several projects.
The homebrew is being developed entirely by the developer submitting the application. In other words, take a homebrew sources already existing, slightly modified the homebrew and put his nickname is prohibited, unless they can not prove that the application developer has given its consent.
The homebrew must be:
a major upgrade of the existing homebrew.
The developer may propose its creation in several competitions, provided it has been proposed to the Genesis Competition PSP first.
Homebrew must submit the official contest Splash Screen. In the case of plugins, the Splash Screen will be in the archive, and the following message should appear in the README:
