The Nikkei newspaper has published some information about the future of Sony PSP-2.
According to our Japanese colleague, the new PSP will have 3G. In Japan, 3G service will be provided by NTT DoCoMo, the largest operator in the country. With this GSM connection, players can play online and download software, demos, or movies, but the service does not allow phone calls (note: Playstation must not compete with Sony-Ericsson). Of course, WiFi is still on the agenda.

Concept Art unofficial
Nikkei continues by stating that the hardware of the console has been completely revised and Sony (Windows) developed a new processor that can process images in high resolution. The fine will be also equipped with an OLED touch screen larger than average.
Also according to the magazine, the price would be still under investigation and no details were given about the price of subscription to the 3G and WiFi only if a version will be split.

The same article makes brief mention of what we have become accustomed to call the "PlayStation Phone ", describing it as a smartphone compatible with PlayStation and games that will make the buttons for controlling Games easier. It runs Android.
Sony is expected to formalize the release of the PSP-2 at a conference on January 27 in Japan while the PlayStation phone it will wait for the next month.
